If you live in Fort Lauderdale or anywhere in Broward County and have spent months or years trying antidepressant medications without lasting results, NeuroStar TMS therapy at New Sunrise Mental Health was built for exactly your situation.

Unlike medication that enters the bloodstream and affects the entire body, NeuroStar TMS delivers focused magnetic pulses directly to the region of the brain where depression originates. The treatment happens in an outpatient setting, requires no sedation, and allows patients to drive themselves to and from every appointment.

Our Boca Raton office is the closest NeuroStar TMS provider to Fort Lauderdale — just 25 to 35 minutes north on I-95 or the Turnpike. Fort Lauderdale and Broward County patients make the drive daily, and most tell us the commute is well worth it. We work with most major insurance plans to make treatment as accessible as possible.

A Different Approach to
Treatment-Resistant Depression

Here is what makes NeuroStar TMS the right conversation to have if medication has not delivered the relief you were counting on.

Built for Treatment Resistance

NeuroStar TMS is FDA-cleared specifically for adults who have not found satisfactory relief from prior antidepressant medication. This is not a last resort — it is a clinically validated next step.

Nothing Enters Your Body

The treatment works entirely through magnetic energy directed at the scalp. No chemicals, no pills, no injections. Patients in Fort Lauderdale who are done with medication side effects find this particularly compelling.

Accessible from Broward County

Our Boca Raton office is the closest NeuroStar TMS provider to Fort Lauderdale — roughly 25 to 35 minutes up I-95. Sessions run under 40 minutes, so most Broward County patients are in and out within the hour.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far is your office from Fort Lauderdale?

Our office is located at 950 Peninsula Corporate Circle, Suite 1011 in Boca Raton, FL 33487. We are approximately 25 to 35 minutes from central Fort Lauderdale via I-95 or the Florida Turnpike. We are the nearest NeuroStar TMS provider to Broward County, making us the most convenient option for patients in Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, and Deerfield Beach.

Do I need a referral to start TMS therapy near Fort Lauderdale?

In most cases, no referral is needed to schedule your initial consultation. Some insurance plans may require prior authorization or documentation of prior antidepressant treatment. Our team handles the authorization process on your behalf.

Can I continue my current medication while doing TMS?

Yes. NeuroStar TMS can be used alongside existing medications. Many Fort Lauderdale patients continue their current prescriptions during the treatment course. Your physician will review your specific situation and advise accordingly.

How many sessions will I need and how long does the full course take?

A complete course of NeuroStar TMS therapy involves 36 sessions delivered five days per week over seven to nine weeks. Each session is between 19 and 37 minutes. The full course is designed to deliver the best chance of lasting, durable relief from depression.

What if TMS has not worked for me before?

Prior TMS experience with a different system does not disqualify you from NeuroStar TMS. NeuroStar's patented Contact Sensing technology ensures precise, consistent delivery of each pulse — which differs from many generic TMS devices. A consultation will help determine if a NeuroStar course is appropriate for your situation.

What Patients Say After
Completing TMS Therapy

After two years of trying different prescriptions, TMS was the first treatment that made a real difference. I noticed the change around week four and kept improving through the end of the course.

After NeuroStar treatment, I don't take life for granted. Every day I live to the fullest and I love to laugh. I began to feel better than I have in years.

— Lisa  ·  Tried 4+ antidepressants
